Mrs. Murphy has a tough scientist exterior, upon entering her class it is clear that she means business about her subject, but inside, Mrs. Murphy's heart is larger than most. She often gives up her lunches to help kids not only through their academics, but through life in general. She sets high expectations but gives students all they need and more to reach them. Mrs. Murphy is extremely humble; she is a brilliant teacher with a heart of gold but everything she does is for the cause not the applause. When Mrs. Murphy isn't teaching, she is serving her community through activities such as her therapeutic horseback riding program and grocery shopping for the elderly. Mrs. Murphy embodies the character traits that BCS works so hard to instill in our students and because of that she is a wonderful role model for our students and staff. - Mrs. Jacobi
