As you browse through this book, please note the following:

1. DEADLINE to register for any class will be one week before the CER club starts.

2. CLASSES begin the week of October 6, 2025! (Check individual flyers as some classes may

start on a different week).

3. REGISTER EARLY for individual classes via links on each page.

4. PAYMENTS All payments are processed through our Community Pass Program. When

you register for a club, payment is due then. Any outstanding balances on Community

Pass must be paid first before registering for a CER club.

5. ATTENDANCE if your child is registered for a CER club and isn’t attending on a specific

day, I must receive an email at sojdakm@bcsberlin.org. If I don’t receive an email

stating that your child isn’t attending, due to safety reasons, I will keep your child at the

CER club that they are registered for.

6. DISMISSAL FROM CER CLUB after clubs are finished, you will need to sign your child out

with the instructor. All CER students will be dismissed and ready for pick up at the

Community Education doorway (to the left of the elementary entrance), unless

instructed differently by the instructor.

Bringing Confidence, Discipline, Self-Defense, Knowledge and Empowerment to children Grades K-5 through martial arts

WHY: Confident kids are happy kids. A confident kid will do better in school, and take a more focused approach to doing homework and after school or weekend activities. You will see the real person in them emerge, and their own unique personality develop in a very positive way. HOW: Our program will build children’s confidence and awareness in self-defense situations as it pertains to bullying and child abduction prevention by: • Increasing focus, positive attitude, and perseverance. • Building character through values such as compassion, honesty, courage, etc. • Having more engaged conversations with peers and adults. • How not to be a target for bullies or strangers. • How to stand up to a bully. • How to handle different types of bullying situations. • Discussion about strangers, avoidance, code words, and escape techniques.
