Important Information

As you flip through this book, please note the following:

1. REGISTRATIONS are first come, first served, and many camps are limited in size. Please register early to secure your place.

2. DEADLINE: Please be mindful each camp has its own Registration and Payment Deadlines, due to the different start dates.

3. REGISTER EARLY for individual camps via links on each page.

4. PAYMENTS: Preferred method of payment is debit/credit, but we do accept check or cash payments.

YOU WILL HAVE TO SIGN FOR YOUR CHILD. All CER students will be dismissed and ready for pick at the old Community Education Doorway (to the left of the elementary entrance). Please wait outside in the front courtyard. Upon club’s end, CER staff or club teacher will ask you to sign for the release of your child. Thank you!

CER Summer Band Camp is BACK! JUNE 26-JULY 26 (5 weeks)

PLEASE BE ADVISED FOR A SCHEDULE CHANGE: Due to the holiday and Mr. Spratt having an exciting opportunity, we will be modifying the Band Camp schedule as follows - NO CAMP/NO PRIVATE LESSONS the weeks of July 2nd and July 23rd. There will instead be Camp July 30th & 31st and August 1st & 2nd. The recital will be August 2nd. This Summer Program is for students who have completed grades 3-8. Emphasis will be on good playing habits, proper practice techniques, music reading and rhythm skills - in a setting that is educational, FUN and ACTIVE!! Group instruction is given twice per week and private instruction is offered one day per week for an additional charge. The program will run on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays through July. A daytime recital and party will be held at the end of the camp where the kids will have a chance to shine in front of friends and family! 10:30-12:00 Tues. & Thurs. ADVANCED & JAZZ (PLAYED 2-3 YRS.) 12:30-2:00 Tues. & Thurs. INTERMEDIATE (PLAYED1-2 YRS) 2:00-3:30 Tues. & Thurs. CER Summer Band Camp 2018! JUNE 26-JULY 26 (5 weeks)

Each student will need to have their own instrument in good working condition. The most inexpensive way to do this is to rent a name brand instrument from a reputable music store. BCS rental instruments are delivered directly to the school by Music and Arts of Marlton, NJ and Coles Music Service of West Deptford, NJ. Our representatives, Kai Hansen and Eric Apelt make weekly deliveries to BCS throughout the year. They offer an extended rental to our new CER Summer Band Camp students. This simply means the instrument you would rent in September is issued in the summer for no additional charge. The rentals start at around $40 for the first half of the school year. (Including Summer Band Camp)

Summer Skill Builders’ goal is for our students to continue their academic success in a fun and supportive environment throughout the summer months. Our certified teachers will focus on skills such as writing, spelling, and math, while exploring interesting and different topics with engaging activities. Students will develop new strategies to assist with problematic skills, while maintaining and expanding their existing ones. So whether your child needs to catch up or is ready to move ahead, Summer Skill Builders is here for you!

Coach Galeone’s Basketball Camp Summer 2018

Who: Boys and girls entering 5th grade through 8th grade

When: July 9th - 12th 1:00 PM - 4:00 PM

Where: Berlin Community School - New Gym

What: Basketball skills of course! Players will be working on fundamental skills including triple threat, ball handling, defensive positioning, passing, and shooting technique.

Why: To develop skills and improve their game

Cost: $90 per player

Camp will include shooting contests, 3 vs 3 tournament, 1 vs 1 tournament, Camper of the Day Award

This summer Kindergarten teacher Lori Benchoff will be hosting a Welcome to Kindergarten Camp ! The children will participate in fun summer themed academic activities while learning and practicing the skills and routines they will be using in Kindergarten ! This camp will allow the opportunity for your child to gain confidence, create friendships and ease any fears they may have regarding starting school. Your child will get to know some of the teachers, become familiar with the school building, get to see some of the classrooms and become prepared and confident to start Kindergarten. Space is limited, so don’t delay in registering!!!!!
